We have been offering electronic music classes and Cubase instruction for 10 years. We were also the first specific Steinberg certified Training Center in North America. Steinberg has since discontinued its certification of training centers. However, we have found Cubase to be superior to competitive programs offered on the market and therefore have continued our training courses as well as using Cubase in our own studio.

Technology has revolutionized professional and home-studio recording. The old days of expensive analog equipment are in the past. Digital recording mediums are replacing analog equipment, making it affordable for the novice. Many online universities also offer their own courses on Cubase, Sonar and other creation, recording and mixing software; everyone is moving at speed into the age of digital sound production, and the Chicago Center School of Music is moving with them. Programs like Cubase are revolutionising the way in which we produce music in the industry, especially for new artists. You can purchase software for your personal home computer and generate professional, digital multi-track recordings, which you can burn to CD or export to other programs. Steinberg’s Cubase is one of the leading professional software programs on the market. We offer one of the only and oldest training programs of this kind in the Midwest. We have designed our classes for the beginning and advanced users to provide them with the knowledge to build a home-recording studio from the ground up.

The CCPA Recording Studio has a state-of-the-art studio utilizing some of today’s newest technologies. At the heart of our studios is a dual processor G4. equipped with M-Audio sound card. A Mackie mixing console, killer synths, Cubase SX exclusively. This software allows the user to record MIDI or audio, edit, add effects using VST plug-ins, mix down, and burn a final product to CD. Our studio is set to show the individual user a basic setup and how advanced your studio can get.
